Days Are Just Packed

Another good day, but as a matter of honesty I must admit, I have some healthy fear going into a new position. Though I think for the time being and out of respect for my contract, I would rather not mention what I do; I will say I am one of the cogs in the entertainment department. I know I have tons of experience doing what they need, but there is always that little voice in the back of anybodies head that asks “Am I prepared enough?”; this has always been the case for me when walking into something new. Despite all this, I was once again impressed with the orientations. Done by the most part by two very well humored, charismatic and easy to understand cast members, the day went pretty fast. Another surprise was the appearance of Disney Cruise Lines President, he seemed very warm, and as much as I hate to admit this about any head up of a large corporation, he actually seemed like a nice guy. It turns out he tries his best to welcome each new group of newbs, as well goes out of his way to put himself in positions where he gets feed back.

Tonight I also went out with a few future cast members I’ve been training with for dinner and such, but I'll save the details of that for tomorrow when I have pictures. I will say I GOT TO MEET MICKEY AND THE GANG! I feel kind of childish for enjoying it as much as I did. I did feel bad not being able to meet up with a local friend who also works for Disney, I was looking forward to talking with somebody with his experience. Next time I hope.
