Makes Me Feel like a Pirate
St. Thomas is this seedy little store port in the Virgin Islands where every second shop carries jewelry. I found my way through most of the stores before I ran into Edson who was phoning family and friends while in port.
It was both a relief and disconcerting to see the amount of security around the shopping zones; all the high gates with security booths on either side of them. I think of all our stops, this is one I’m impressed with the least, but it does have its charm and views.
